Arrived to Virginia and toured Montpelier

I arrived in Virginia; my trip has begun! After a red eye flight to Charlottesville, VA, I met up with Scott. I'm so excited to be here and be visiting family!! This will be a very fun week.

We decided to take the chance to visit the home of James Madison, Montpelier. So interesting to see how they lived back then and to see what was important and significant in their life that was preserved for us to see. One interesting note the tour guide continued to emphasize, I had no idea James Madison and Thomas Jefferson were such very best friends.
